Thank you for being part of the Brightside journey

Two years ago, we proudly introduced an all-new banking app by ATB to Albertans. We’ve been thrilled to see how Brightside has helped you and so many others across the province take control of your spending and save for what you love.

However, even with the success Brightside has had, we’ve come to a critical point when it comes to our ongoing investment in both Brightside and ATB’s main digital banking experience. The difficult decision has been made to end the development of our Brightside banking platform by the end of March 2022, so we can focus all of our efforts on accelerating the advancement of ATB’s main digital banking experience.

Where we go from here

Nothing about how you’re currently using the Brightside app is changing right now. You can still login, move your money in and out, and continue to use the spend card and savings features. We’ll share more details with you over the coming weeks to ensure you know exactly what will be happening and how it may impact you. We’ll also be sharing some of the ways we plan on adding Brightside features onto ATB’s digital platforms to further enhance the banking experience at ATB.
