A Coffee Date to commemorate the launch of Friends with Benefits

Yup, we’ve officially got Friends with Benefits! A community of amazing Alberta businesses where you get rewarded with extra savings each time you spend local using the Brightside Spend Card.

To celebrate such a momentous occasion (because making things official is a big deal, ok?) we couldn’t resist the opportunity to collab with two of our new friends to create a custom roast that was bold and cheeky - everything we are - and one that celebrates all the great things that can happen over a good cup of coffee.

As much as we love coffee, we knew better than to pretend to know all the ins and outs of beans, brews, and blends. So we let the experts at Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. and Square One Coffee flex their coffee know-how to create a custom roast for the launch of Friends with Benefits, aptly named Coffee Date.

Ready, set, roast

After tasting roast after roast and comparing notes and profiles, Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. and Square One Coffee roasted up a perfect match, right here in Alberta. Coffee Date is robust and bold, with rich notes of chocolate and caramel. It’s smoother than your favourite pick-up line.

We called it Coffee Date because it’s best served with friends, or your friends with benefits (no judgement). Either way, it’s a cheeky way to cozy up this season.

Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. roasts top notch coffee that’s sustainable and environmentally friendly. For every bag of coffee they sell they plant a tree on Canadian soil (that’s 30,000 trees just West of YYC already!). You can pick up their beans to enjoy at home or drink it all in at their Ramsay location. We know - they’re quite the catch.
